I had the privilege of taking my brothers senior picture this evening. Its funny how I always think of him as my little brother, yet he's not so little anymore. Speaking literally, he's quite big. But in life he isn't so little either. He is becoming a fine young man. I am proud of him. I am proud of who he is, and who he is striving to be. I look forward to seeing where he will choose to go in life, wherever that may be. And, I can't wait to be there every step of the way. Love you buddy!

Thailand

So, way back in October of 2005 i left for Thailand, with my friend Jayme. we spent 4 months in Chiang Rai, which is in northern Thailand, at an HIV/AIDS orphanage called Baan Nam Jai (bon nom jy) those 4 months in Thailand changed my life in big ways. Thai people live with a lot less than most Americans, and surely a lot less than i do. the 10 kids that we were in contact with every single day were all infected with HIV, yet i've never met 10 happier kids in my whole life. its interesting what children can teach you if you are just willing to get on their level and let them teach you. we also spent a couple weeks in southern thailand doing a bit of tsunami relife. that was very hard, we heard some very heartbreaking stories of thai people that had lost their loved ones. so, here are some pictures from that trip. i just wanted to share it up here in case you wanted to see some pictures. thanks guys. 0h-and thank you so so so much to anyone that helped make it possible for me to go, i couldn't have done it with out you!

Mother Dearest....

I talked to my mom on the phone today and i just want to take a minute and give some love to her. If it wasn't for my mom I would be lost. She is one of my heros. She has held it together through a lot of tough things, and she is so strong because of it. I love her so much. Thanks Mom, for helping make me who I am today. I'm proud to be your daughter. Very Proud.

Relay For Life.

Everybody has heard of Relay For Life (an organization deticated to raising money to find a cure for cancer) Well, they had a Cancer Walk here in Bellingham a couple weeks ago, and I went. It was so cool! You buy paper bags and decorate them however you choose, most all of the bags had someone's name that was fighting cancer, or a survivor, or a name of someone that we were remembering. The bags were filled half way with sand, and then a candle was placed in the sand. When the sun set the candles were lit. Now, the bags were lined up all around the Public Library, and a whole bunch of people walked around the Library, and the bags, to show support for finding a cure for cancer. The Walk lasted from Saturday afternoon, to Sunday afternoon, so people were walking all night. Anyway, I heard about this on Saturday morning and decided to go. I brought along a little point and shoot camera and took some pictures. I will put some of them below for you to see, if you want. Enjoy.
